The Pico E system is not only an automated, non-contact microdispensing instrument designed for ultra-low volume applications but also excels in dispensing a wide range of substances, including proteins, antibodies, DNA, living cells, radioactive isotopes, nanomaterials, and viscous solutions, among others. Furthermore, this open-access platform supports various target substrates, such as glass slides and microtiter plates (96-wells), nitrocellulose membranes or microneedles. The system can be equipped with all PolyPico microdispensers and is suitable for printing on any of the aforementioned targets. In terms of design, the Pico E system is compact, user-friendly, and highly flexible in its configuration, making it an outstanding entry-level option for academia and R&D. Additionally, it fits easily into most fume cupboards or laminar flow hoods, requires no specialist installation, and allows users to be operational within an hour.

Open-platform

An open-platform design ensures maximum flexibility in the system layout and functionality, featuring a specialized target substrate or source holder. According to your application, the platform can operate with or without a cooled environment.

Ultra-low volume dispensing

The total volume range of the droplet is between 5 picoliters (pl) to 120 picoliters (pl), depending on the properties of the fluids. By performing multiple dispensing actions at the same position, volumes in the nanoliter or low microliter range are being generated, enabling a spot on-the-fly mode.

Target alignment camera

Allowing precise point-and-shoot dispensing for simpler, fasted target alignment and inspection. (Optional).

Exceptional dispensing speed

Maximum dispensing rate 10,000Hz (drops per second).
